Firethorn (Pyracantha) occurs as genus of thorny evergreen large shrubs in the family Rosaceae, subfamily Maloideae. It is indigene from either south-east Europe east to southeast Asia, and come closely related Cotoneaster, differing from that genus around getting serrate leaf margins & many thorns (Cotoneaster is spineless).
A plants range from either Four-6 m tall. A septet mintage keep close at hand whiten flowers and either red, orange, or even yellow berries. A flowers come produced in the period of late spring & early summertime; a berries grow from either late summer, and mature around late autumn.

Uses
Pyracanthas come worthful ornamental plants, grown in gardens for their decorative flowers & fruit, often super densely borne. Their heavy, thorny structure makes the two particularly valued within situations in which hooliganism or even criminal damage come problems.
